Integration

Google Calendar

Connect from the Integration Hub to overlay calendar events on the content schedule.

What it does in Collabre

Google Calendar puts your team's meetings and deadlines on the same calendar as your content. Once connected, Collabre reads the events from the Google calendars you choose and overlays them on the content schedule, so a planning review shows the launch meeting, the client call and the three posts due that week in one view instead of two windows side by side.

The overlay is read from Google and stored against your Workspace, so everyone in the Workspace sees the same events without connecting their own account. Each event appears as a card on the calendar with its time, title and attendees, next to the posts scheduled around it. From an event card you can open a summary panel: Collabre writes a short summary of the meeting from the event's details and keeps it with the event, and every earlier summary stays listed there, so the next person picking up the Campaign sees what the meeting was about without opening Google.

Collabre can also create events in your Google calendar. When a Campaign needs a review session or a content deadline that the whole team should see in their own calendars, you add it from Collabre and it lands in Google with the right time and description.

How to connect it

  1. Open Integration Hub from the Integrations group in the sidebar.
  2. Find Google Calendar under Productivity and press Connect.
  3. Sign in on Google's own consent screen and allow calendar access. Collabre asks for read access to your calendars and permission to create events, nothing more.
  4. Back in Collabre, the card shows Connected with the Google account name.
  5. Open Calendar from the sidebar and press Sync in the Google Calendar panel to pull in the current events. Sync again whenever you want the latest changes.

The connection is stored against your Workspace. If Google expires the access and the card asks you to reconnect, press Connect again. Disconnect from the Integration Hub card at any time, which removes the overlay.

Using it on a Campaign

Say a product launch Campaign has a kickoff meeting on Monday, a design review on Wednesday and six posts going out across the week. After a Sync, the content calendar shows all of it together, so the person scheduling posts sees that Wednesday afternoon is taken and moves the LinkedIn post to the morning. After the kickoff, the Campaign owner opens the event card, generates the summary and leaves it attached, so the writer who joins on Tuesday reads what the meeting covered before drafting. When the team agrees on a final review slot, the owner adds it from Collabre and it appears in everyone's Google calendar.

Questions

The calendars available to the Google account you connect. Collabre lists them after connection and pulls their events into the Workspace overlay when you press Sync.

No. Collabre reads your events for the overlay and only creates new events when someone on your team adds one from Collabre. It does not edit or delete what is already in Google.

Members of the Workspace where the connection was made. The events are stored against that Workspace and shown on its content calendar, not on other Workspaces.
