Last-click attribution

Last-click attribution is a model that gives all of the credit for a conversion to the final touchpoint before it. If a buyer saw a LinkedIn post, then opened a newsletter, then clicked a search ad and bought, the search ad receives the whole conversion and the earlier touchpoints receive none.

How it works in Collabre

Each conversion path is read as an ordered list of touchpoints. Last-click hands the full conversion, and its value, to the last one in the list.

It is the easiest model to explain and matches how many analytics tools report by default. It undervalues the content that started the journey, so a Campaign built for awareness will look weaker under it than it is. Read it beside first-click or linear before cutting an early-stage channel.

The five models in Collabre

Collabre offers five attribution models: last-click, first-click, linear, time-decay and position-based. The model is picked per report rather than once for the Workspace, so an awareness Campaign and a direct response Campaign can each be read with the model that suits it. Use the same model when you compare two periods.
